After a lot of speculation and rumor, Disney finally officially announced a closing date for Illuminations: Reflections of Earth. After 20 years, the last performance will be on September 30th. This is to make room for an interim show before premiering a more long term nighttime spectacular in 2020. –

The new show replacing Illuminations will be called Epcot Forever and will premiere on October 1st. Epcot Forever will feature fireworks, lasers, lighting, and choreographed kites. The show will include all-new arrangements of classic Epcot music that will drive the show. Epcot Forever will run until sometime in 2020, when a new spectacular will debut. –

Star Wars Celebration was this weekend in Chicago, and of course there was plenty of news about a Galaxy’s Edge. Starting off with branding, Coca Cola has designed bottles of Coke, Diet Coke, Sprite, and Dasani water that fit into the theme of the new land. The sodas look like thermal detonators and are reminiscent of the round bottles Coke had a while ago that were themed like Christmas ornaments. The Dasani water is just the standard bottle. Each of the bottles will have the writing in Aurebesh, the writing system used to transcribe Galactic Basic in the Star Wars Universe. –

During the Galaxy’s Edge panel at Star Wars Celebration, the Disney Play App interface was shown. The new addition to the app will allow guests to solve puzzles, listen in on transmissions, translate text around the land, and more. The interface is pretty clear and seems to be easy to use, and a good time killer for the times that you are in line for an attraction. –

Something shown off at Star Wars Celebration that got me really excited was the outfits that you can purchase in Galaxy’s Edge. They look extremely high quality and very nice. The outfits are mix and match so you can create your own look. –

The former Mizner’s Lounge and Commander Porter’s in Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa will be re-themed to Beauty and the Beast after its re-imagining, set to complete this fall. The theming won’t be too over the top, but more subtle. There will be a chandelier over the bar that is reminiscent of Belle’s dress, a formal library in the baroque design, and a garden room that will be inspired by the enchanted forest around Beast’s castle. –

If you are going to be in the Magic Kingdom in the next few days, you have a chance to meet Mr and Mrs Easter Bunny in the Town Square courtyard next to City Hall. They will be appearing until April 21st. –

If you stay at a Disney hotel and order in some food through an online delivery service, you may have to pay a $6 food delivery service fee to Disney. The fee only applies to deliveries to the lobby that must then be delivered to your room by resort cast members. If you meet the delivery driver in the lobby, there is no fee. –

A new ticket center has opened at Disney Springs that will allow guests to get assistance with park tickets, ticket upgrades, annual passes, and dining reservations. The new location will make it easier to get tickets before reaching the theme parks where there are more lines to purchase tickets. You can also pick up guide maps for the theme parks. –—disney-ticket-center-now-open-at-disney-springs.htm

A third parking garage has opened at Disney Springs, adding an additional 340 parking spots to the shopping district. The new structure offers a pedestrian bridge safely carrying guests over vehicle traffic and entering Disney Springs between World of Disney and Basin in the Marketplace. –

It seems like there is a spirit jersey for every occasion. This week, a new Toy Story spirit jersey debuted in the parks. On the back is the Toy Story logo on top of a background of the wallpaper from Andy’s room. –
