On May 1st, Disney’s Hollywood Studios will celebrate it’s 30th anniversary. There will be a character cavalcade at 10am, a commemorative button and guide map, new merchandise reveals, and more. At 9:05, the new “Wonderful World of Animation” projection show will premiere. –

This week, Disney released some new information about the Skyliner, the gondola transportation system scheduled to debut this fall. The cabins will accommodate up to 10 guests on two wooden benches, and be wheelchair accessible. Trips will take 5 to 15 minutes between stops. The system will travel at 11 miles per hour and has mesh panels and reflective windows to help keep the cabins cool without air conditioning. –

After just two years, the Rivers of Light in Animal Kingdom is getting a refresh. The new version will be titled “Rivers of Light: We are One” and will premiere Memorial Day Weekend. The show will include scenes and characters from Disney nature films, and other Disney animated films. –

If you have been wanting to get in on the Disney Vacation Club, now might be your chance. With sales of the Riviera Resort now open, Disney is offering a $2,250 discount when you buy before May 31st. For more information and details, check out the link in our show notes. –

Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway at Hollywood Studios is delayed until Spring 2020. For a lot of folks online, this isn’t a surprise and has been expected for some time now. –

Yet another part of Galaxy’s Edge will not be ready for opening. The roaming droids that are part of the immersive experience will not be in the new land during the first few weeks due to the concern of too many guests after opening. –

Another movie preview has come to Walt Disney Presents in Hollywood Studios. This time, it is for Aladdin. The preview is 10 minutes long and runs continuously throughout the day. Jasmine’s screen-used dress is on display in the lobby. –

There is a lot of construction going on at the Transportation and Ticket Center. This work is to improve guest flow and allow the security check to be moved to the TTC area and away from the entrance to the Magic Kingdom. If you are taking a tram from the parking lot, be prepared for a longer walk during construction. –

Work has begun on the new tram and security areas at Epcot to make way for the improved guest experience upon arrival. The work will result in a longer walking distance from the trams. –

Construction has come to the International Gateway Epcot entrance. A new temporary entrance has been setup while the previous entrance is reworked to expand capacity when the Skyliner station opens and increases guest demand for this entrance. –
