It has been long rumored that a new pavilion would be coming to World Showcase at Epcot, but when? Rumors are that Brazil is finally coming to the area between Germany and Italy. The new area celebrating Brazil won’t include any attractions, just food and merchandise when it is expected to open in Summer of 2022. –

Peter Quill, a.k.a Star Lord, will be returning to Epcot this summer in Awesome Mix Live! The show that was popular last summer will run Jule 14th through August 18th. The lively show includes music from the 70s and 80s played by a 7-piece alien band. Guests are encouraged to sing and dance along. The show is performed 5 times a day. –

Initial Reviews on the Disney Villains After Hours Events are coming in… and they’re good. The after hours events have been taking place at Magic Kingdom, Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom. They include all you can eat snacks, exclusive merchandise, special appearances by the villains and low waits for popular attractions. It’s definitely an added cost, running $139 for three hours of park time, but everyone we’ve heard from says it’s been worth it. –

The Lion King remake is heading to theaters on July 19. To celebrate the film, banners and merchandise are popping up all over Animal Kingdom. There’s a lot of pops of color. Especially awesome is the mural of the opening scene, which you can find by Tiffins. –

The trails by the Tree of Life have reopened. Once again, guests can take a stroll through the lush gardens. –

When Rafiki’s Planet Watch reopens on July 11th, guests have the option of a new experience. Tying in with the Lion King movie release, you can join “the Animation Experience.” Guests will learned to draw their favorite characters from the Lion King, learn how animals inspired some of Disney’s most iconic characters and more. –

Disney World has a friend in Tim Allen, Tom Hanks and the rest of the Toy Story 4 cast. As you exit Toy Story Mania! in Toy Story Land at Hollywood Studios, you may notice a new gift shop. The shop is themed to look like you are the size of a toy and carries a large variety of Toy Story 4 merchandise. The location is fairly large, but tucked away as you exit. The store is broken up into sections, each catering to a specific character from Toy Story. –

On June 11th, a new Pop-Up experience is coming to Disney Springs. “Toy Story Drop” will allow guests to play the new Toy Story based mobile game, enjoy a photo op with The Claw and more. This is an event to help market the new mobile game that is available on all mobile devices now. –

Sunday, August 25th at 10:30am Pacific is a date and time that you are going to want to pay attention to. This is when the Disney Parks presentation at the D23 Expo will take place and is expected to announce the next few years of updates coming to the parks. For Disney World fans, this includes major changes to Epcot. In 2017, the Guardians of the Galaxy coaster, TRON, the Skyliner, and more were announced. –

The Odyssey Events Pavilion that was recently remodeled is undergoing a transformation to a new Experience Center where guests will see what is coming to Epcot in the future. The exhibits will be interactive and engaging for guests to check out. This will be the place to get more information on the changes that are sure to be announced at the D23 Expo this summer. –

August 29th not only brings Galaxy’s Edge to life in Hollywood Studios, but it’s also a day when adjustments will be made to the park’s FastPass+ Tier system. From then on, all the ride attractions in the park will be considered a tier one FastPass+, while the shows will be tier two. Important to note, the attractions inside Galaxy’s Edge won’t offer FastPass+. –

You may recall Disney was on the verge of adding a dinner show and table service restaurant to Galaxy’s Edge. While that was ka-boshed, WDW News Today says it may find a new home in Disney World’s upcoming Star Wars Resort Luxury Hotel. –

If you are a Florida resident and would like to get a great deal on park tickets, the new promotion that Disney World is running is for you. The tickets come in 3 or 4 day options for $55-$67 per day, plus tax. The tickets can be used at one park per day now through August 28th. There is the option to add park hopping to the ticket as well. –

Annual Passholders are getting another perk. Walt Disney World is offering a 20% discount on select dining locations across the parks and resort hotels starting this week. Popular places like Tony’s Town Square Restaurant, Rose & Crown Dining Room, Tiffins, Kona Cafe and Sanaa… to name a few are on the list. The offers is good for the passholder and up to 3 guests on food and non-alcoholic beverages. The dining locations may have varied hours…so be sure to check. –
